ABOUT
Haiya Kofler is a prominent sports presenter, media relations professional and UGC content creator whose magnetic presence has appeared on the nation’s most high-pressure stages. Working at the intersection of sports and public service, Haiya’s resume includes hosting the 2024 Paris Olympics Send-Off Match for the U.S. Women's National Team, emceeing international friendlies between football’s two most storied sides, Arsenal Women and Chelsea Women, and speaking on-record to The Washington Post for high-profile Members of Congress. Haiya lives to energize and mobilize the human spirit, while advancing human rights.
Currently, Haiya serves as a contracted presenter for the NWSL Washington Spirit, MLS Colorado Rapids, U.S. Soccer Federation, U.S. Soccer Foundation and the United States Marine Corps. Her versatility shines through her work with diverse sports properties, including Athletes Unlimited lacrosse, the Maryland Terrapins women's basketball program (#5 ranked team in 2023), Georgetown Hoyas basketball at Capital One Arena, and as a performer for the Washington Commanders' Command Force, Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders, and Washington Nationals' NatPack. She additionally volunteers in emcee and announcing capacities for non-profits, including Special Olympics DC, DC Scores, and more.
Before illuminating stadiums with her infectious energy, Haiya brought her communications expertise to Capitol Hill. Haiya is humbled to have concluded her three years on Capitol Hill working for civil rights leader, Chairman James E. Clyburn. As Press Secretary and Digital Director for the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, Haiya prepared statements, press releases and talking points, as well as managed a robust reporter portfolio— successfully placing stories with The New York Times, USA Today, Politico, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, PBS News Hour, NowThis, and more.
While in that role, Haiya began her first season in the NFL as a Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader (21’-22’), performing in front of a sold out Lincoln Financial Field and serving as a brand ambassador at community events such as the Eagles Autism Challenge, the Lancaster PA 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb, Holton’s Heroes Walk/Roll for Pediatric Brain Injuries, and more. Haiya was also selected to appear in public speaking, dancing, and modeling capacities across NBC10, Fox29, 6ABC, CBS3, and NFL Network.
Haiya is grateful to have gotten her congressional start with an outspoken voice for minority communities, Chairwoman Nydia M. Velázquez. As the Digital Manager and Press Assistant, Haiya managed the digital calendar, drafted press releases and produced e-newsletters. From there, she went on to serve as the Digital Press Secretary for the Committee on Oversight and Reform, chaired by fellow Member of the NY Delegation, Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney. With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, Haiya’s role unexpectedly grew, as she was charged with running remote and hybrid hearings for both the Oversight Committee and Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, as well as building the Select Subcommittee’s website and social channels from ground zero— to later transition over fully as the Select Subcommittee’s Press Secretary and Digital Director.
In 2018, Haiya graduated from UC Berkeley with honors. There, she explored the connection of narrative to discourse through the examination of American culture in various media. She majored in Rhetoric, minored in Dance and Performance Studies and concentrated in public discourse - specifically, how humans constitute themselves and politics through performance. Some of her favorite authors are Martin Heidegger, Hannah Arendt and Michel Foucault.
Previous employers include the U.S. House of Representatives, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, 2019 World Series Champion Washington Nationals, Rep.
